Digital Foundry, notorious for their hardware and video capture analysis of gaming performances, have uploaded test footage of F1 24, running on a PS5 Pro in performance mode.
The footage lasts eleven minutes and the video comes in two versions: h.264 at 120fps and HEVC at 60fps.
In the video description, Digital Foundry reminds viewers that YouTube caps out at 60fps, so even though the footage was captured at double that, you’ll still be able to get a good idea of the smoother animations, reflections, and ray-tracing benefits.
The PS5 Pro has a Radeon VR Roch CG GPU and a Ryzen CPU, clocked at 2.23GHz and 3.5GHz respectively.
F1 24 was released on the 1st of July and boasts several improvements on its predecessor, including Driver Ratings, a fuller season, and an updated rule system.
