Summary
Gaming publication Digital Foundry has published a video analysing the performance of the upcoming Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart on both the PlayStation 5 and the PS5 Pro.
The preview build of the game, which is set for release on 11 June, showed that the game will run at 4K and a stable 60 frames per second on both consoles, with the PS5 Pro’s additional power being devoted to higher resolution textures and improved detail rendering.
It was also revealed that Helldivers 2 and Ninja Gaiden 2 will also be PS5 Pro enhanced, with no announcement from Sony or the developers.
Sony has remained quiet on the existence of a PS5 Pro since the launch of the PlayStation 5, with no mention of a mid-generation upgrade to their current-gen console.
Microsoft, by contrast, has just launched two Xbox Series X consoles- the cheaper Series S and the high-end Series X, with reports of a Series X Pro model in development.
