Nintendo has released a first look at the Switch 2, which will replace the hybrid console’s original model.
The trailer demonstrates a larger tablet with a bigger screen and more rounded edges, as well as an additional USB-C port and a wider kickstand for hands-free viewing.
The new Switch will feature larger Joy-Cons with a new, magnetic connection and a square button on the right-hand controller, whose function is not yet known.
The Switch 2 will be available from October 12, 2024, with pricing varying seasonally among retailers, ranging from 310to400 at launch.
In alignment with this, the original Switch model will see a price drop of 50to250 from June 30, 2024.
This announcement comes following a slew of rumours and anticipated anticipation regarding the new model.
