What we know about AMD and Nvidia’s imminent midrange GPU launches

Summary
Nvidia has announced prices and release dates for two of its newest graphics cards, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, which are set to ship in the coming weeks, with the RTX 5070 Ti becoming available on 20 February, and the RTX 5070 following on 5 March.
The prices place them in the midrange category, with the RTX 5070 Ti costing from 749andtheRTX5070from549.
While this is cheaper than Nvidia’s other new cards, the company warns that it may be difficult to find them at the suggested retail price, as was seen with the launches of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080.
The new cards are also rumoured to be facing competition from AMD’s graphics cards, which are also set to ship in March.
Additionally, the RTX 5070 is noted to be less of an upgrade from its predecessor, the RTX 4070 Super, than the RTX 5070 Ti is, featuring fewer CUDA cores, a lower boost clock, and less memory bandwidth, all of which may make it more difficult for the card to achieve 4K without relying on DLSS upscaling.
