Summary
Framework, the Laptop Company known for its modularity and repairability of its products, has released its first desktop computer, the Framework Desktop.
It will begin taking pre-orders for the product commencing today, with the expectation that the computer will be shipped in Q3 of 2025.
The new desktop computer will be targeted at customers wishing to purchase a high-performance desktop computer in a small package.
It will be powered by an AMD Ryzen AI Max processor, and a Radeon 8060S integrated GPU, and feature between 32GB and 128GB of soldered-in RAM.
While this offers a small form factor, and relatively high performance, it is arguably less modular and upgradeable than many of the company’s competitors in the mini PC marketplace.
