George Orwell’s 1984 as a ’90s PC game has to be seen to be believed

Summary
In 1998, a PC game based on the classic George Orwell novel 1984, entitled Big Brother, was being developed by MediaX, but never saw a full release.
The “sequel” game featured new characters and a storyline that moved away from the source material, including a missing fiancée plotline.
However, a demo of the now “lost” game has been discovered and uploaded to the Internet Archive, giving users a chance to experience a slice of gaming history.
The gameplay focuses on first-person puzzling and includes a zero-g training sphere, with players taking on the role of Eric Blair as he navigates a world dominated by the Thought Police.
While the introduction to the demo places the player in the centre of a resistance movement, it’s unclear how the game plans to distract the all-seeing Thought Police.
