Sony removes PlayStation account requirement from 4 single-player Steam games

While the account is no longer mandatory, Sony is hoping players will continue to use them due to the tie-in benefits, such as accessing trophies and managing friends.
It is also offering in-game rewards, such as suits in Spider-Man 2 and outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Sony hopes this will incentivise players to use a PlayStation account for the “full experience” of its games.
