Summary
After the success of the Portal video game series, developed by Valve, the company has partnered with pinball machine developer Multimorphic to create a themed pinball machine.
The machine, simply titled ‘Portal’, will feature aesthetics and audio from the games, including character voice acting from the original GLaDOS voice actor, Ellen McLain.
In the games, GLaDOS is the patriarch of the Aperture Science fictional organisation, which develops the portals the series is named after.
The machine is built on Multimorphic’s P3 pinball platform, which uses a large display and projector to create a hybrid mechanical-digital pinball experience.
Pricing or release dates for the Portal pinball machine have not yet been announced.
