Summary
A PC version of Frosthaven, the popular and complex board game, is being developed by Snapshot Games, led by X-COM creator Julian Gollop, with input from Frosthaven and Gloomhaven creator Isaac Childres.
The game will enter closed beta testing on 27 March, with signups available on the game’s website, and will launch in early access in 2025.
The PC version will include both single-player and multiplayer options, with the ability to pick up abandoned character roles.
The game will include over 35 quests across its first two acts at launch, with further quests planned for expansion.
Although still in development, with art, music and voice work incomplete, the game promises to make a complex board game more accessible through digital conversion.
