Summary
GOG has overhauled its community game wishlist, renaming it the GOG Dreamlist, as it focuses on restoring and preserving classic PC games.
The list, not only allows gamers to request titles they want to see on the DRM-free storefront, but also gives GOG market leverage when negotiating with rights-holders.
Previously, votes on the GOG wishlist helped push for the restoration of Capcom’s dinosaur-themed game, Dino Crisis, and its sequel, seeing over 5,000 votes for the former.
At the time of reporting, the top title on the Dreamlist is Black & White, a 2001 ‘god game’ in which the player coaches an animal avatar to learn and evolve, garnering over 57,000 votes.
Black & White 2 is also appended on the list, commanding third place at present.
