Now, gaming observers have pointed to a reference to “Switch 2 Edition” games on a Nintendo website as a hint that some form of upscaling for original Switch games may be in the works.
It is not yet clear what games will be eligible for such a upgrade, or how much work developers would need to put into optimising their games for the new console.
Nintendo has previous form with such tactics, for example games designed to work on the original Game Boy platform but with extra features available when played on the Game Boy Color.
