The game was created by developer Lilith Walther and had been available to download for three years via online platform Itch.
This is the second recent takedown relating to the Bloodborne game, as a 60fps mod was also removed.
Some fans believe that these events and a mention of Bloodborne in Sony’s 30th anniversary video are signs that a new game announcement is imminent.
However, others feel that MarkScan, the firm responsible for the takedowns, is acting too zealously, as it has also previously asked Google to remove some of Sony’s own websites.
