Chinese developer Eclipse Glow Games, partly funded by Tencent, the world’s largest gaming company, has released a trailer for its new game Tides of Annihilation.
The game is a fantasy hack-and-slash set in a twisted modern version of London.
Players assume the role of Gwendolyn, a baby-faced blood-letter who must defeat the demigods of Avalon by throwing the Knights of the Round Table at them.
The game’s London includes a toppled Millennium Wheel and cheery red phone boxes, with bosses including a male character with floaty dreadlocks and a female character with Gilgamesh’s Gate Of Babylon ability from Fate/Stay Night.
Tides of Annihilation’s London is also full of wandering, armoured titans who serve as “dynamic, interconnected vertical challenges”.
The developers say it will take at least 30 hours to finish, with no release date set yet.
