CWA union says Bobby Kotick's fake lawsuit claims are false, unsurprising, and insulting to the Activision workers who spoke out

Summary
Ex-Activision CEO Bobby Kotick has denied bullying and sexual harassment claims made against the company during his time in charge, describing them as “fake”.
His remarks were described as “insulting” and “unsurprising” by a spokesperson for the Communication Workers of America (CWA) union.
The CWA pointed to a 2021 settlement in which Activision Blizzard agreed to pay $18m after the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) found it had violated US laws forbidding sexual harassment and discrimination.
This was followed by a further $54m settlement with the California Civil Rights Department (CCRD) in 2023 “for discriminating against women in the workplace and for pay inequities”.
The ABK Workers Alliance union, made up of Activision Blizzard King employees, also responded publicly to Kotick’s comments, saying that the company’s unions “were born from the very real and harmful way executives reacted” to the harassment allegations.
