A new email from Rockstar Games has revealed that it will be offering “character migration” for players of Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) on PC, allowing them to transfer their progress in the game’s story mode and online to a “refresh” of the PC version being launched on 4 March.
The new version will include new vehicles and upgrades, as well as improved graphics options and faster loading times.
The company is also introducing features such as ambient animal encounters, a GTA+ membership for PC players, and anti-cheat protections in a bid to make the game ” safer, secure and fun for everyone” amid concerns about recent harassment in its online component.
Meanwhile, leaks suggest that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) may include user creation tools akin to those in Fortnite and Roblox that will allow players to modify the game map.
