The game’s writers, Davey Wreden and Karla Zimonja, have stated that it is a very personal story about burnout and the restorative power of daily rituals.
Players will be able to relate to Alta’s struggles, such as her all-or-nothing thinking, which many perfectionists can recognise, and the dread that seeps into every aspect of life when “failure” strikes.
Wanderstop aims to unpack these emotional struggles in its gameplay.
