Monster Hunter: World’s Steam player numbers have been impressive, attracting over a million gamers over the weekend despite mixed reviews and technical performance issues.
Capcom has started rolling out patches and hotfixes to resolve the most prevalent problems reported by players, such as recurring Smithy tutorials and an ingredient centre bug.
The second hotfix will launch on 4 March and will address a bug that prevents a critical NPC from appearing during the “A World Turned Upside Down” mission.
Capcom also noted that players who have reached the Hunter Rank cap can still complete the “Omens” main mission by accumulating points via optional quests and side missions.
The developer recommends players follow its launch-day troubleshooting guide, which includes graphics driver updates and running the game with administrative privileges.
