Videogames editor at Rock Paper Shotgun, Adam Smith, has revealed that he has deducted 0.2% of a game’s score for being awkward to alt+tab out of when taking notes, claiming it to be an important accessibility feature.
He has since discovered that Steam has its own in-game notepad, but has questioned why it was created and who would benefit, beyond him.
Others have also found uses for the in-game notepad, such as being able to remember reasons for games on their wishlists and taking screenshots.
The latest Steam update includes the new feature of accessing the notes on the web, as well as other features such as improved big picture mode and support for the 8BitDo Micro gamepad.
Smith fears his career is over due to his deduction of points for taking notes.
