Summary
Khary Payton, who voices Black Panther in the upcoming Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra game, suggests the game may be released at Christmas.
The World War 2-set action game was announced last March with a 2025 launch date and is being developed by Skydance New Media.
The company is also working on an untitled Star Wars game.
Payton said “we’re planning on 2025… We’re thinking like a Christmas situation” and “I’m so excited”, but cautioned that this is not yet confirmed.
The news reaches Rock, Paper, Shotgun as the first release information on the game.
The site’s writer is not hugely keen to play another Marvel game, but admits he is a fan of the studio’s creative director, Amy Hennig, who directed the game Soul Reaver.
Soul Reaver is the writer’s favourite game, and he would forgive Hennig any misstep as a result.
He concludes that he hopes Hennig will return to the world of Soul Reaver after Rise Of Hydra.
