Developers Storm in a Teacup and publishers ESDigital Games have announced that their new robot-focused action-adventure title Steel Seed will launch on April 10.
The game features platforming and combat elements as players navigate a cybernetic underworld with a machine the size of a world.
Inspired by megacity manga, the environments include industrial machinery and massive infrastructure.
Gaming site Rock, Paper, Shotgun played the demo at GDC last year, and while the gaming site wasn’t wowed by the gameplay, the environments were “impressive,” inspired by titles like Lorn’s Lure and Enslaved: Odyssey To The West.
Players can sample the game themselves with a demo available on Steam.
The developers have also created Close To The Sun, a “leisurely exploration” sci-fi game praised by Rock, Paper, Shotgun for its tense atmosphere.
