Summary
Chuhai Labs, founded by one of the programmers on the original Star Fox, Giles Goddard, announced its new on-rails shooter Wild Blue yesterday at the Humble Games Showcase.
While the teaser didn’t show any gameplay, it did include a Star Fox nod, with a character referencing the ’ barrel roll’ line from the Nintendo classic, only to be cut off with the response, “we don’t call them that here”.
According to the Steam page, players will be able to choose the paths they take, and explore various locales, from deserts to oceans.
With Nintendo not having released a new Star Fox game since 2016, Wild Blue may be able to satisfy retro gamers’ appetites for “anthropomorphic animal cool spaceships”action.
