Summary
Nvidia has announced that a demo for its Half-Life 2 RTX mod will be released on 18 March.
The news comes nearly two years after the company initially announced the mod, which adds ray tracing and AI enhancements to the 2006 game.
The demo will allow players to sample the Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt levels.
Nvidia asserts that every element of the game has been enhanced, but the base game remains visually impressive, even by today’s standards.
To play the RTX mod at its optimum settings, users will require a GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics card, although previous generation cards can also be used.
The RTX mod has no scheduled full release date, but gamers can expect it to arrive sometime after the demo.
