Ubisoft warn staff not to celebrate Assassin's Creed Shadows launch as part of “anti-harassment plan”

Summary
Ubisoft Quebec has advised staff not to celebrate or post about the launch of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows on social media because of an ongoing issue with online harassment.
The game has been subject to a concerted campaign of outrage from certain corners of the internet, largely focused on the inclusion of a black samurai character, Yasuke.
Ubisoft has had to issue previous apologies regarding perceived cultural insensitivities in the game, while a merchandising figurine was also pulled due to objections.
The company has now implemented an anti-harassment plan to protect employees from online abuse, which includes monitoring activity on social media and legal backup to pursue offenders.
This is similar to measures announced by Square Enix in January to combat harassment, bigotry and unreasonable compensation claims from stakeholders.
