Gaming developer Studio Wildcard has revealed a teaser trailer for its first expansion to its 2019 dinosaur-themed online game Ark: Survival Ascended, titled Lost Colony.
The expansion will include numerous anime cutscenes, with voices provided by credited actors such as Michelle Yeoh and Auli’i Cravalho.
It is set for release in November 2022 and will introduce new abilities, gear, building systems and a story in which the player is hunted by demons in the city of Arat Prime.
Lost Colony is leading into the events of the sequel Ark 2, which was announced in 2020 but has yet to receive a release date despite multiple delays.
The content roadmap for the original game extends until December 2026, suggesting the sequel will not be released for some time yet.
