Control spin-off Firebreak is a co-op first-person shooter title.
While developer Remedy is perhaps best known for its single-player action games, it hasn’t shied away from hiring additional expertise for the multiplayer project.
According to Firebreak game director Mike Kayatta and Remedy communications director Thomas Puha, the developer has hired more experienced personnel for the title, particularly for backend development, but this has built on existing foundations, not replaced them.
The company is also working on at least one other unannounced project, which it will likely unveil in the future.
Firebreak is set to launch in May 2020, while Alan Wake 2 is also in development.
