Summary
Pillars of Eternity, a popular RPG created by Obsidian Entertainment, has reached its 10th anniversary and to celebrate there is a new patch which fixes various aspects of the game such as visuals, combat and quests.
As well as this, the game will now have a turn based combat mode which is a stark contrast to the original real time with paused combat found in the game when it was first released.
Obsidian have not yet declared how the new combat mode will operate within the game.
The new additions to the game have given reassurance to some players that the Pillars universe will continue to be predominantly real time, whilst also giving fans a new experience going forward.
This also gives Obsidian the opportunity to potentially incorporate a turn based mode in future releases, particularly in their new game Avowed.
