Summary
Gaming publishers and developers Chucklefish, perhaps best known for creating the action-packed Starbound, will be releasing a new game called Witchbrook in 2025.
Witchbrook is a magical school simulator in the same genre as the popular Stardew Valley, combining agricultural elements with a magical, occult-focused storyline.
Players will be able to choose their own storyline and adventures within the game, enabling them to explore a range of play styles.
This can range from pursuing relationships with NPC characters to learning spells and potions, and even creating a coven with friends.
The game is filled with beautiful pixel art and allows players to decorate their own cottage.
The only major confirmation of playable features is that players will be able to fly on broomsticks, thus saving the game from receiving a 0/10 rating from Rock, Paper, Shotgun critic Alice Bee, who complained in a 2020 feature that such a game must have broomsticks for it to be truly credible.
