At this year’s Game Developers Conference, the creative director of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Jonathan Dumont, has stated that the development team is monitoring player feedback and comments on the game, and is considering further difficulty settings.
Shadows, the latest in the Assassin’s Creed series of games, has four settings relating to stealth and combat, ranging from ‘story’ to ‘expert’.
Players can also choose the ‘guaranteed assassination’ option, ensuring a quieter kill.
However, the varying difficulty settings in relation to optional content versus gameplay has prompted the team to consider further options for players, with Dumont stating that “…the team is always working to improve the game…”
Ubisoft, the parent company of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, has recently spun off a new subsidiary focusing on the franchise, alongside Rainbow Six and Far Cry.
This move has allegedly disadvantaged some employees, who have seen shares they were encouraged to take in lieu of bonuses depreciate in value.
