Monster Train 2, the follow-up to 2019’s Monster Train, will be released on Steam on 21 May, developer Shiny Shoe has announced.
The card-based roguelike game will feature new clans, additional cards, and the ability to customise the player’s train.
While the first game saw players leading armies of demons fighting angels, Monster Train 2 will introduce a new enemy in the form of ancient Titans.
“Room” cards will also have an impact on the battle environment.
Shiny Shoe revealed the release date on 1 April, prompting them to clarify that this was not an April Fool as the announcement date coincided with April Fool’s Day.
They also denied the existence of a Monster Train dating game spinoff, imaginatively called You Stole My Pyre Heart.
