Summary
A new top-down turn-based tactical game set in the Rainbow Six Siege universe is rumoured to be in development, with reports suggesting it is one or two years off release.
It is said to play similarly to XCOM, and will incorporate operators and skills from the game, as well as including destructible surfaces.
The game is allegedly called Slice & Dice and is being led by Elie Benhamou, game director of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
It is rumoured that Ubisoft is creating a new Tencent-backed subsidiary for its most profitable games, including Rainbow Six, Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.
It is still unclear how this move will impact the development teams involved with these games, and how they will be able to collaborate in the future.
