X4: Foundations is a space-based game, which features fighting, building empires and trading among other activities, and is currently receiving an update.
The upcoming update will introduce diplomacy into the game, in the form of negotiations and alliances to prevent immediate warfare.
A new facility, the Embassy, will be accessible to players, whereby they can send diplomats to talk to other factions.
There are also ‘Agents’, who can be deployed on diplomatic assignments within the game’s universe.
There is no detail on when the update will be released, but it is slated for sometime in 2025 and will be free to existing players.
The game is currently on sale, discounted from £40/50to£12/15 until April 16th.
