Summary
A Tekken 8 mod called ‘Good Ass Tekken’ has removed many of the game’s newer features to replicate the style of older versions of the franchise.
The mod removes features such as the heat bar, the rage state, armoured moves and tracking attacks, all of which are unique to Tekken 8 and not present in previous titles.
While these add-ons are designed to make the game more aggressive and exciting, not all players are lovers of this approach, resulting in this bare-bones mod.
The mod’s creator said that the mod is a more accurate representation of how Tekken ‘should be’, and also wants to increase the distance of the backdash, make launching attacks unreliable when they whiff, and lessen the damage that can currently be done with combos.
