Summary
The Redux version of Metro 2033, the post-apocalyptic shooter game from the Ukraine-based 4A Games, is being offered for free on Steam and GOG for the next 24 hours to celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary.
The 2014 remake of the game introduced a revised stealth system and improved artificial intelligence, along with a host of other gameplay mechanics.
4A Games has since split into two entities, with one keeping the Metro IP and now owned by Embracer, while the other, rebranded as Reburn, is working on a new title called La Quimera.
The original Metro 2033 was praised for its graphics and environments, but criticised for a lack of depth in its gameplay and too few humans and too many mutants.
