Starseed Pilgrim creator's new platformer wants to kill gameplay

PC game maker Droqen, the creator of the cryptic block-seeding puzzler Starseed Pilgrim, has announced a new game called The End of Gameplay.
Droqen views the game as an exploration of the very nature of video gaming, stating that it takes the parts of Starseed Pilgrim that “nobody told me they cared about” and emphasising the word “gameplay” in the title.
The game is described as an exploratory 2D platformer anthology, but Droqen’s history suggests that it will be far more experimental and oblique than that label suggests.
The game will be released on May 12, 2023, on what is known as the full flower moon.
