Summary
Season 8 of Diablo 4, entitled Belial’s Return, will commence on 29 April, preceded by a blogpost and video guide explaining the new mechanics.
The key feature is the introduction of boss powers, enabling players to acquire abilities from bosses, each of which carries two effects.
Some are acquireable at any level, but others require the player to attain Torment 1 status or higher.
A new event, Belial’s Apparition Monster, will also appear, emerging every few minutes; players can earn reputation by defeating them and exchanging it for caches containing rare items.
Lair bosses have been remodelled, and a previous announcement of a Bersek collab will also be rolled out on 6 May, comprising cosmetic changes for Barbarian and Rogue characters.
Players can also purchase a bundle of Necromancer and pet cosmetics, including a monstrous nose creature, pictured in the article.
All cosmetic items are only available for season 8, so players should buy them before the end of the term.
