The Crew 2 is getting an offline mode play test and it, unsurprisingly, won't have all of its online features

Summary
Ubisoft is allowing gamers to test The Crew 2 next week, on April 30, in an attempt to trial an offline mode, following anger that the original game in the franchise was withdrawn entirely.
The game was designed to be online only so the trial will allow Ubisoft to ensure the new hybrid mode works 100% of the time.
It is not known if the offline mode will be available at the game’s launch, but it is hoped that it will be ready by the end of the year.
The developer has made it clear that the multiplayer features will not be available when playing in offline mode, although a full list of which features will be available is expected at a later date.
The announcement of an offline mode could affect Ubisoft in the ongoing lawsuit regarding their original announcement that The Crew was being discontinued.
Players had purchased the game under the impression they owned it and would be able to continue playing it indefinitely, rather than just having a license to play it as Ubisoft are now claiming.
