Summary
Manor Lords, the medieval city-builder from developers Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse, is celebrating its first birthday soon and developers have outlined their plans for updating the game to celebrate the occasion.
The developers have introduced a new upkeep system, as well as several visual and user interface (UI) revamps, and a boost to the artificial intelligence’s (AI) capabilities, including in city planning and navigation of fortresses.
Furthermore, the AI can now establish and run small villages, forcing the developers to redesign the game’s marketplace.
There are also changes to the Record View, with a new screen for regional production and consumption, while the approval system now weights recent events more heavily than older ones.
“A lot of work was done to make sure the AI could use the plot tool properly,” the devs added.
While Manor Lords originally planned to stay in early access for roughly a year, the 1.0 version still appears to be some way off.
