Who knows if Stardew Valley is finished, but the dev behind it is committed to not working on it until Haunted Chocolatier is done

Developer Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, is currently focusing on creating a follow-up to popular farming simulation game Stardew Valley, titled the Haunted Chocolatier.
In a recent interview with PC Gamer, he stated that he is committed to not working on Stardew Valley until Haunted Chocolatier is completed, and he feels that SDV is in a good place for new players to jump into the game in 2025.
Barone also noted that he has evolved as a person and developer since starting work on the game several years ago, which means he probably will have to go back and rework aspects of the game to reflect his current artistic sensibilities.
It is still unknown when Haunted Chocolatier will be released, but with Barone focusing on it solely it may be sooner than the 4 years it took for the 1.6 update for SDV to be released.
