Gaming developers Mobius Digital have announced their second game is in production, in a throwaway line of a Steam update changelog for their game Outer Wilds.
The upcoming title is the studio’s priority, with all hands on deck and no further major updates planned for Outer Wilds.
Outer Wilds has received critical acclaim for its incorporation of quantum mechanics and other advanced physics in the gameplay.
The new game’s genre is unspecified, however the studio has stated it is known for “wondrous virtual orrery and gravitational stageplay.”
It is expected to be released on multiple gaming platforms, with a staggered release schedule to allow for bug testing.
While Outer Wilds is an impressive and immersive game, locals in Norfolk, England have protested its depiction of the fossil fuelled backstory of their planet.
