Palworld's newest patch stops you from gliding with your Pals, and yes, it is because of Nintendo's lawsuit

Palworld developer Pocketpair has revealed that changing the gameplay function of the in-game Pals due to a ongoing lawsuit from Nintendo over patent infringement was necessary to “prevent further deterioration of the gameplay experience” for players.
The statement clarified that while the changes in a recent patch v0.3.11 removed the ability to summon Pals by throwing Pal Spheres, the change to a static summon was deemed necessary to prevent further deterioration of gameplay.
Pocketpair also stated that future updates would also be affected by the lawsuit, such as a change to gliding in the upcoming patch v0.5.5, and explained that “Pals will not be required to perform glides” but players will need a glider in their inventory to glide.
The lawsuit from Nintendo has been widely criticised for stifling creative innovation and hindering the creativity and progression of the gaming industry.
