New platformer Paperklay is a little bit Banjo, a little bit LittleBigPlanet

Summary
Rock, Paper, Shotgun journalist Brendan Sinclair is annoyed by the characters in the new platform game Paperklay, which features a hen and chick dubbed Chick and Nugget that Sinclair calls a ‘avian buddy duo’.
He also derides the game’s typographical logo and the depiction of the characters.
However, he says the game itself looks like an ‘absorbing arts-and-crafty experience with large, transforming environments’
The game is reminiscent of Banjo-Kazooie and has music from the same composer, plus it features large transforming environments.
It offers a familiar range of platforming techniques and puzzle elements that fold and unfold parts of the game environment.
Sinclair thinks that games like this, along with Lumino City, Hirogami, Paper Trail and The Midnight Walk, offer an opportunity for an arts and crafts style game featuring ‘sellotaped and glued’ elements.
