Summary
A new Steam game entitled Haneda Girl is set in the fictional world of Data Empire, where the aim is to save the day from Hackernauts, utilising different styles of gameplay to defeat them.
Players’ characters can switch between styles, taking advantage of shield and gatling gun defences when in mech form or scaling walls and delivering critical strikes whilst on foot.
Haneda Girl’s steam blurb advises players on when to use each style, but the main unique feature of the game is the ability to heal and recharge abilities when switching between forms.
Critics have praised the game’s combo potential and fresh ideas, drawing influence from Celeste, Bro Force, Katana Zero and Hotline Miami.
The game is currently available on Steam for demo trials, ahead of its full release on May 23rd.
