Content creation platform, TikTok, appeared to have been banned in India earlier this week before users found that they were able to once again access the platform later in the day.
With the banning of the app seemingly unpredictable, there has been a flurry of Social Media users beginning to back up their video content uploaded to the platform in case the app really does disappear as expected.
There is a lack of a built-in feature within the app to back up videos, so creators have to either download each video individually or pay for premium Softwate such as Repurpose.io, which enables bulk downloading, however, this costs $35 per month.
Alternatively, users can try the free methods of using the Chrome browser’s console or a free Chrome extension, which involves using a second TikTok account and favouriteing each video you want to back up.
