Default apps on Apple’s iOS used to be rigid, but now users have more freedom to choose default apps in eight categories, including email, messaging, calling, browser and contactless payment.
This is how to customise your default apps:
Go to Settings, then Apps, then Default Apps
Select a category such as Email or Calling
Choose your preferred app to set as the default
The change is immediate, so you can test it out by opening a link or taking the action that would trigger your new default app.
In some categories, such as Passwords & Codes, you can select more than one default app.
You can rearrange or delete keyboards via the Keyboards menu in Default Apps.
A full list of keyboards can be accessed by pressing and holding the globe icon when typing.
