The Continuity feature from Apple now enables users to mirror an iPhone onto a Mac computer screen.
It requires the iPhone to run iOS 18 or later and the Mac to have Apple silicon or a T2 security chip running macOS Sequoia 15 or later.
Both devices must be signed into the same Apple account which needs to have two-factor authentication enabled, and both must have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
The iPhone must be locked and close to the Mac, and the Mac must not be sharing its internet connection using Sidecar or AirPlay.
Once these conditions are met, the user can drag the mirrored iPhone screen, open apps, brows the web, change iOS settings, reply to messages and more, all from the Mac computer.
They can also control the size of the mirrored iPhone display and transfer information via drag-and-drop or notifications.
This hands-on guide includes step-by-step instructions on how to set up and use iPhone mirroring.
