“This man is not our boss” — EPA workers rally against DOGE cuts

Summary
Workers at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have taken to the streets across America in protest at the cuts to the agency’s budget and staff made by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Employees of the agency, whose mission is to protect “human health and the environment”, claim that Trump’s executive orders bar the EPA from taking any actions that would shut down any stage of energy production.
The Trump administration has also sought to close the EPA’s scientific research office while mooting a 65% cut to its budget.
Demonstrators appeared to be more focused on Musk than Trump, chanting “How do you spell corruption? E-L-O-N”, with some carrying posters featuring a sketch of Musk’s face with the slogan “this man is not our boss”.
The protests, which took place in eight cities, were organised by the union AFGE Council 238 and marked a National Day of Action.
