The Gonzo Pi is an open source, editable camera platform for filmmaking on the go, combining a Raspberry Pi with a first-party high-quality camera.
The device allows for real-time editing, allowing the user to shoot, retake and dub audio as they film, so they can create films on the move without having to spend time sifting through a mass of footage.
The camera can be built up using a viewfinder and old school C-mount or 8mm film lenses and attached to a variety of different devices.
The company behind the product suggests the Gonzo Pi hopes to “change the way you make films by virtue of its unique compositional paradigm”.
