A photographer focused on “extreme sprocket hole photography” has outlined their process for creating panoramic images from multiple rolls of 35mm film using a large format Cirkut No.6 Outfit camera.
As the camera rotates on a clockwork motor to shoot the image, a custom 3D-printed spool feeds four rolls of film into the lens at the same time, rather than the single sheet of large format film the camera usually takes.
This technique captures the image and all four sets of sprocket holes in one shot.
While the shoot could be done with a digital camera, the photographer says that the unusual look of the finished image is what attracts them to this analogue method.
