Fixing an Unpleasant SD Card Slot Issue In a NanoVNA
1 min read
Summary
In a video posted to YouTube, Rob of SevenFortyOne Radios and Repairs is seen dismantling a NanoVNA unit in order to retrieve a microSD card that had fallen inside the unit.
The card had fallen through the reader slot and into the enclosure itself due to the size of the opening and the small size of the card.
To remedy the issue, Rob suggests that a piece of foam be attached over the top of the microSD card slot, therefore plugging the hole and preventing further incidents.
The problem, which is a known issue for some single-board computer (SBC) enclosures and gadgets, is exacerbated by the tiny size of the card itself and the need for a fingernail or other implement to push the card into the slot.
