An Arduino-powered, button-free e-reader with a 3D-printed case and an e-ink display has been created by DIY enthusiast fel88 and posted on instructables.com.
The device has a solar panel on the back and a reed switch for powering it on and off, while it can be navigated via accelerometer.
It has no unnecessary functionalities such as wifi or Bluetooth and can run for 880 pages on a single charge, or potentially indefinitely with the help of the attached solar panel.
The creator says that the lithium-ion capacitors should also improve the life cycle of the devise.
